keep going...

with the 15s league around the corner, i can't help but feel a little jittery.
personally, the league is a test of all the training, fitness and gym sessions i've put in.
this is also when i will discover the extent to which i am able to actualise what i have learnt and put it into action on the field.

i suppose it's not so much the opponent i fear, but myself.
as much as many people think i'm a brick wall of sorts, barging at the defence,
there are times when i feel like i'm stagnant, ineffective, or just plain exhausted.

we have all come this far together.
we've been through the sunday trainings under the afternoon sun,
we've been through fitness sessions that i personally never thought i could survive.
so let's all press on, and keep going...

i truely believe the 15s league that lies ahead will be an awesome experience for all of us.
i think it's one (and important) thing to strive to win,
but what i find more important is to conquer ourselves and the fear within.
to be completely honest, i'm still working on that aspect myself.
all i can say is that despite the nerves, i'm looking forward to the league,
the joy and pride of playing with awesome teammates...
till then, i shall constantly remind myself,
'the greater the obstacle, the greater the glory in overcoming it.'

heh. i admit i get a little bit of a stress-head sometimes but will be fine. always get pre-game jitters...which in actual fact helps in my game cos i'm already pumped up. better than the times where i'm calm but don't have enough drive. and of course i will make a conscious effort to be more aware of support on the field...haha!!
